Colona Grange #259
The Colona Grange is a community organization that owns and operates the historic Colona School building in Colona, Colorado. The Grange has deep roots in the community, having used the building for meetings since it opened in 1916, and eventually purchasing it in 1963. The Grange also hosts various community events and provides space for local organizations.
Colona School
The building served as the only high school for the area south of Montrose from 1916 to 1928 and as the only grade school from 1916 to 1948.
Community Hub
The Colona Grange continues to utilize the building for meetings and community events, such as the annual Fall Festival and various other gatherings.

The Colona Grange, like other Grange organizations, originated as a form of farmers' union, providing a platform for collective action and community support.
